This is the best finger food served for any occasion or gathering. Remember to have a huge pile of napkins on standby. This is better than the Colonel, much more healthier.

I always want to bake wings.
This recipe looks easy to do, being that I am lazy to read long instructions and all.
Going to try making them...
What's a shaoxing wine?
ms_2be!
Shaoxing wine is chinese cooking wine, you may replace with whatever wine available.

Hi Aunty,
What if we don have garlic and onion powder? Can we use fresh ones? If so, how much to use and how to prepare? Thanks. Tot of baking it this weekend.

if you are using fresh garlic and onions, make sure you pound or chopped them up really fine, more like a paste cos if it is roughly chopped, they will get burned while baking and that is not good eats. you do not need much, 1/2 an onion and 5 -6 cloves of garlic will do
Thanks for the recipe aunty. The chix wings taste very nice.
I made these and it was a hit at the party. However I shall emphasize the must to leave it marinated overnight as I attempted cooking one batch after marinating for 6 hours only and the flavour was not as nice and intense as the ones that are marinated longer.
Hi Lily,
Many thanks for sharing all these wonderful recipes. Just wondering, for the baked chicken wings, do you wrap/cover them up during baking (eg. with aluminium foil) or do you leave them uncovered.

it depends on the size of the wings, it will hasten cooking if you cover the pan with heavy duty aluminium foil and cook for 1/2 hr to partially cook them. Remove the foil and crank up the oven heat to 400 - 425f and bake until golden brown,
Thanks for the feedback. Tried it and the wings are very tasty. The aroma lingered on for quite a while too. This is a keeper esp for parties/gatherings. And it's pretty simple to make too (not too many ingredients). Thanks again.
